Young graduates, and lack of jobs. A surprising evidence!!

Somalia, job-hunt is arduous, tedious task and at the same time difficult to accomplish.

the country went through 25 years of anarchy which translated into the collapse of infrastructure and the overall economy of the country. The chaos, havoc and the war atrocities resulted in the isolation of the country and the presence of foreign troops up until this time. After 25 years of lack of order and control, the country started to build up again and bounce back slowly from those tribulations. However, the unemployment and the inflation rate are the highest ever, though the businesses are recovering from the destruction. some of you may say, it's not the highest, yes it's true when it compared previous years which was even worse than this but at that time, there wasn't a government and the whole country was in chaos.

According to the youth, Getting a job is one of the most difficult aspects of life. The most part of Somali population "youth" are struggling unemployment, at the same time, they are the greatest available resources that Allah have endowed the nation. Most of the youth are doing bachelors in universities, while many others are doing masters both in local and abroad. Unfortunately, they face a lot of challenges and constraints about getting hired from the local companies, NGOs and even the government institutions. Because of many reasons, local firms and NGOs hesitate to hire graduates regarding family or clan preference, lack of skills, poor education and lack of basic requirements.
In Mogadishu, fresh graduates having the most hope and big dreams with the highest enthusiasm enter the markets without equipping the skills and technical requirements along with their need of high paying jobs, which in turn cause to stay long periods in the home and put their CVs into the trash. Because of their low quality of education. In detail, the fresh graduates have no reporting or writing skills, language skills are also low and working experience other than studying is missing.
On the other hand, the employment or staffing markets are full and employers ignore to take on more staff. Because every new year, there are thousands of graduates and firms are growing less, and there are no new firms entering the market. Its almost clear that approximately 200 or 300 firms -in Mogadishu- couldn't afford to cover two millions of society.
Another main challenge is that graduates hesitate to go to other parts in the country such as small regions which there are more available jobs in reality. "In my experience, in Galmudug state specially Galkayo city,  I attended a class lecture which almost contained 15 students, another class with 7 students, followed by another class with 18 students and most of those students have jobs and work every day while studying in their classes. Along with that, approximately 70% of the students in the university are part-time employees with local firms, NGOs, State institutions and even some of them are doing their private businesses. Although that is quite surprised me, still there are many jobs that Organizations post every day".
Moreover, the youth are underestimating the low-level jobs with a reasonable income, for the sake of their demand regarding officers, and high salary payments. which leads them after many months of seeking job positions to dismiss their desire, ability and become immoral and finally conclude and give up and make a habit through a social media by advertising humor and fake comments, continuing on, until throwing their lives to seas. It's some kind of pain, a bachelor-holder who lost his value about life.
I myself would suggest to the youth, both graduated and ungraduated students to enhance their skills and education along with to look back at the low-level jobs with a reasonable income. And I would strongly recommend going the other parties in the country especially the "small-regions" in which much available job opportunities exist.
In conclusion, the most precious party of the Somali population are facing a lot of challenges and constraints regarding getting jobs after their graduation of bachelor and even master degree. Constraints could be lack of skills, lack of proper education, clan or family preference. fresh graduates themselves also are apart from the problem who hesitate to work low-level jobs and refuse to go back the other parts of the country which finally leads them to dismiss their lives.
